All our members and visitors have a responsibility to help maintain everyone’s safety as we follow England Hockey’s guidelines for phased return to play.
Please read the following guidelines which are based on guidance from the Government, Sport England and England Hockey – specifically EH Roadmap to Return to Play.
If you experience any COVID-19 symptoms or test positive for COVID-19, are currently self-isolating, living in a household with a possible COVID-19 infection, or if you are classified as vulnerable on health grounds, please stay at home and inform Windsor HC's COVID Officer, Sarah Allan, immediately on 07966 073594 or via secretary@windsorhc.co.uk.
BEFORE YOUR SESSION:
Perform a Self-Assessment for symptoms of Covid-19. No one should leave home to participate in any form of hockey if they, or someone they live with, has any of the following:
• A high temperature (above 37.8 C)
• A new continuous cough
• Shortness of breath
• A sore throat
• Loss of, or change in, normal sense of taste or smell
• Feeling generally unwell
• Been in close contact with / lining with a suspected or confirmed case of COVID-19 in the previous 2 weeks
Ensure you have completed the England Hockey Participation Agreement Form making sure you have listed “Windsor HC” as one of your “organisations” (we are in the second drop down box).
Ensure you are registered with Windsor HC on the Pitchero website and that your contact details are up to date.
Bring your own personal protective equipment, including:
• Hand Sanitiser
• Gum Shield
• Shin Pads
• Water Bottle (ideally labelled)
• Face Mask (where possible)
Please do not share personal equipment, including whistles – the Club will be taking steps to minimise the risk associated with using Club face masks at short corners.
Changing rooms & showers will not be available for use, only toilet facilities. Please come ready to play.
Do not congregate closely whilst waiting to enter the pitch area and do not enter until the pitch is cleared from the previous session. Maintain social distancing wherever possible, both on and off the pitch.
Ensure that you have been marked as present on the attendance register for every session you attend. For training, this will be normally be managed by Sarah for Ladies, Pascal for Men and Elle for Juniors. For matches this will be the captain of your team.
DURING THE SESSION:
• Try to avoid touching metal surfaces including fencing and gates. Gates must remain open at all times.
• Follow guidelines on hand hygiene carefully. Please bring your own sanitiser.
• Maintain social distance during discussions and briefings.
• Avoid touching balls with your hands, use your stick/feet. If you have to handle cones/markers etc., or goals, sanitise afterwards.
• Avoid shouting when in close proximity to other players or coaches. This is particularly important when in a face to face scenario.
AFTER THE SESSION:
• Do not shake hands
Please take your rubbish and all your kit with you.
• Leave the site as soon as possible.
• Clean/sanitise your equipment or leave 72 hours before handling.
PLEASE TAKE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES SERIOUSLY.
Please work with us to ensure that the guidelines are being followed so that we can all stay safe. The Club will continue to follow Government guidance and will be prepared to amend our approach to activities at short notice, should there be any changes to the COVID-19 situation.
